A.B. CRENTSIL - TANTIE ALABA:
Good Ghanean hilife from the early 80´s. Several charming tunes in the Sweet Talks tradition (Mr. Crentsil was a part of it earlier). Great version of "Who is free" for example, but more or less the whole album is enjoyable.

AFRICAN BROTHERS BAND - OMAN BO ADWO:
Ghanean highlife LP, record in Africa but pressed in USA and exported back to the motherland upon release. Four happy and uplifting tracks, with "Ene no nsiane nhwe" probably being my favorite pick here. Disc has plenty of scuffs but plays better than it looks. Some scratches at "Ebeye wo wa" cause some light clicks and distractions but still enjoyable. Cover has wear, dirtstains, light waterdamage and some seamdamage. Price is dropped a little due to this.

AFRICAN PEOPLE - ON THE MARCH / MOVIN' ON:
Afro funk doublesider from Germany, white label promo copy without the picture sleeve. Both sides are nice in their own right, sounds more american influenced than african. Has plenty of scuffs, but plays alright with just minor distractions.

AHMADU JARR - EN DAG I AFRIKA / SIGNED BY ARTIST:
Swedish release only. "Bassi" & "Temne" is basically african chants and drums. "African time" is a nice afro pop tune. Clean copy with just some light ringwear and some creasing. Backside of the cover has a personal dedication to previous owner and is signed by Ahmadu.

ALEMAYEHU ESHETE - ESQEGIZEW BERCHIE / TEDESTESHAL WOL:
Killer ethio funk in "Esqegizew berchie". Colored vinyl with plenty of soft marks, but playback is still pretty good. Only a little noise and a few occasional soft ticks. Rare record with a plain sleeve. Small writing on B side label.

BAHALI BOYS - MUSINZILI:
Privately pressed 7" from Kenya with super cool label design. Holds the traditional style dancer "Musinzili" that progresses with fuzz guitars and percussion breaks later in the track. Unplayed stock copy but still a little noisy. Mainly on the not so intresting B side though. Probably some dirt/mould left in the grooves. If you spend a little more time the playback can probably improve a little.

BEMBEYA JAZZ NATIONAL - 10 ANS DE SUCCES:
Lovely, deep and jazzy afro sounds in "Temtemba". Highly recommended! Plenty of surface marks and plays with some light noise, overall a very enjoyable copy anyway. Both labels has name written with inkpen. Cover has ringwear, creasing, small sticker on back, tears on seams and one tear on front. Price is dropped a little due to this.

BENIS CLETIN / SOFRITO - JUNGLE MAGIC / MONEY MAKE MAN MAD:
Two banging afro disco edits from the Sofrito camp, both tracks chopped and mastered for maximum dancefloor effect. Benis Cletin's super rare "Jungle magic" is a Nigerian take on Donna Summer's "I feel love" but with warped synths and a very tough bassline. Flip for uptempo percussive disco funk.

CHRISTY ESSIEN - EVER LIKED MY PERSON?:
Afro disco/pop album from 1981, on small indie label from Nigeria. Plenty of scuffs on vinyl and play with a little noise here and there but overall the playback is ok. Cover has heavy ringwear, and damage on spine. Have a go at "Ka anyi gba egwu" for a uplifting afro disco number, has a good percussion break too.

DR. ADOLF AHANOTU - ODEJIMJIM:
Rare private pressed Nigerian LP from the 80´s. "Ijere" is a great afro funk tune that was comped on one of the Nigerian Soundway releases. "Esuru" is my favorite tune here with killer horns in a lovely, uplifting highlife style. Lp has marks but plays quite fine. Disc has some non audioable pressing bubbles and shades in the vinyl. Cover is heavily torn and with massive cover wear back and front. Edges are a bit beaten up, still intact but looks very dirty.

DR. ORLANDO OWOH - & HIS OMIMAH BAND:
Good Nigerian Yoruba highlife LP from 1975. Disc has a few minor scuffs but nothing deep at all, plays overall very loud and clear. Minor warp on one side but doesn't affect play at all. Cover has dirtstains, ringwear and a small penmark at backside. Several good percussive highlife tracks that could be of intrest for people into sampling/editing with good and clean percussion parts/breaks. Try "Ajo ma lowo" to get an idea how this record sounds like.

IMPRESSIONS SONORES... - France Original
7" · VG+/M · 300 SEK

NEW IN STOCK
ELIAS AKADIRI - MISSION SPECIALE / L'AMOUR ET LA MORT:
Obscure small label release with Sunny Blacks combo as backing band. Hypnotic Beninise deep sounds in "Mission speciale" while the flip is a funky jerk track that I can highly recommend if you dig Orchestre Polyrythmo. Very soft marks on vinyl, but plays well with just some minor noise. Both labels has small dirtstains, but this is most likely as fresh this will turn up.

FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI - BOX SET 4:
Rare box set that came out about a decade ago, filled 6 whole album reissues of some of Fela's best works. "Zombie", "Kalakuta show", "Palmwine sound" are just a few of the timeless afrobeat classics here. Complete with insert and the postcards. Out box cover has a few cm damage/split on top & bottom edges. Great copy apart from that.

FRANCIS BEBEY - BALLADES AFRICAINES:
Laidback, folky album from 1978, sounds almost like a Baden Powell album from Africa. Listen to "Ode a L'Afrique" to get an idea. Disc is in clean shape, cover is fine except for a stripe of ink on back that probably appeared in manufacturing.

GEORGE DANQUAH - HOT AND JUMPY:
Rare afro/funk album recorded in America but exported for the Ghanean market. Visually a VG copy but plays well considering what type of conditions the african vinyls usually are in. Killer funk tracks like "Just for a moment" and "Mese medo no". Don't miss out on the Mulatu type of jazz track "Araba soso wo ndzema" either! Plays well with just some minor distractions. Cover is fairly fresh too, with just some creasing, soft wear and damage to corners. B side label has writing.
