Plenty of records out in the shop this week. Lots of nice hip hop LPs & 12s, some original Impulse jazz LPs and lesser seen disco 12s. Check our blog on the link below for some of this weeks rarer records. There you can also listen to some very nice mixes. The latest is a soul mix from Carl Hedberg who works at the counter here in the shop (just go to mixes and it's the first one):

WE BUY RECORDS


We purchase collections big and small as well as rarer individual records. Soul, Funk, Disco, Jazz, Latin, Brazil, Afro, House and Reggae, vinyl only. LP's, 12's and 7 inches are all of interest. We pay 40-60% cash or give 50-70% trade value of what we will sell for if the price is over 100 SEK for us to sell. The more expensive the record, the higher the percentage. For cheap records under 100 SEK we pay a lower percentage. We will travel worldwide and give a 10% finders fee for any tips on collections we end up buying.

VINYLSKIVOR KÖPES


Vi köper LP skivor, EP's, maxis och singlar inom speciellt soul, jazz, reggae, vissa rock/progg skivor etc. Vi betalar mellan 40-60% kontant av vad vi säljer skivorna för av de skivor som vi säljer för över 100 kr. De billigare skivorna betalar vi mindre procentuellt för. Ring eller maila vad ni har!

BOBBY REED - THE TIME IS RIGHT FOR LOVE / IF I DON'T LOVE YOU
All-time soul masterpiece, a track that I'll never get tired of. The B-side is well worth getting too. Original copies still sell for 400-500 USD so this reissue is the cheaper way to get hold of this on a good pressing.



OWEN MARSHALL - OWEN MARSHALL AS CAPTAIN PUFF IN THE NAKED TRUTH
Great mix of spaced out funk, fusion and free jazz. "Planet funk" is the best tune for the funk heads but this is a really nice LP if you want your music from leftfield. Reissue of ultra rare original. Includes a bonus 7" with "Grunt" b/w "Evolve". Made in 1000 numbered copies.



DARLING DEARS - I DON'T THINK I'LL EVER LOVE ANOTHER / AND I LOVE YOU
One of the best soul doublesiders I know, amazing garage-style production with sweet female harmonies and hard drums. Reissue of very rare original on Flower City.



SUGAR MINOTT - HARD TIME PRESSURE
Great compilation of Sugar's late 70s/early 80s stuff, check the wonderful lovers tune "My Love Is True" and the alltime roots favorite "Hard Time Pressure".



ORCHESTRE SUPER BORGOU DE PARAKOU - THE BARIBA SOUND 1970-1976
Superb music from northern Benin. Some tracks are funky dancefloor stuff, some are slow and soulful. Check clips from "Abakpe" and "Gandigui". Very convincing compilation, beautifully packaged with printed inner sleeves and gatefold cover.



LOVE APPLE - SAME
6 unissued tracks with Lou Ragland, taken from an acetate. Raw, sparse soul sound, imagine a lo-fi cross between Dorando and Mike James Kirkland!



REGIONAL GARLAND - MIXED SUGAR - THE COMPLETE WORKS 1970-1987
Compilation of 45 releases by Mixed Sugar, Brilliance, Perfections, 21st Generations and a few more of Garland's projects. Also contains 6 unissued tracks. Amazing set, from crossover soul and funk to modern soul and boogie. Sounds a bit like George Smallwood.
